Position Summary

A to Z Management Consulting is seeking an experienced ISO 9001:2015 Consultant / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a Department of Defense manufacturing organization in Philadelphia, PA. The selected candidate will assist with the development, implementation, certification, and sustainment of an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) within a heavy manufacturing environment operations.

This position requires expertise in ISO 9001 implementation, auditing, quality management systems, process improvement, and manufacturing operations. The SME will conduct gap analyses, develop QMS documentation, perform internal audits, support certification activities, and provide ongoing compliance support following certification.

Location

• Onsite: Philadelphia, PA
• Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Limited travel may be required

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 10 years of ISO 9001 Quality Management System experience
• Demonstrated experience leading organizations through ISO 9001 certification
• Experience supporting manufacturing, foundry, machining, industrial production, or heavy manufacturing operations
• Strong knowledge of auditing methodologies, gap analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement
• Active Secret Security Clearance required
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification
• ISO 9001 Lead Implementer Certification
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), CQE, or CMQ/OE
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• Prior DoD, Navy, shipyard, foundry, or industrial manufacturing experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ISO 9001 gap assessments and implementation planning
• Develop and maintain QMS policies, procedures, and documentation
• Perform internal audits and compliance reviews
• Identify process improvement opportunities and corrective actions
• Prepare the organization for third-party certification audits
• Deliver ISO 9001 training and awareness sessions
• Support surveillance audits and long-term compliance efforts
• Provide practical recommendations to improve operational effectiveness and quality performance
