Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech)
Location: Bronx, NY
Salary: $35 - $45/ hr (DOE)
We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician to perform radiographic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and medical conditions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and committed to maintaining high-quality imaging standards while ensuring safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to procedures
- Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging of bones, tissues, and organs
- Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns
- Properly position patients, including assisting those with limited mobility
- Ensure minimal radiation exposure using appropriate shielding techniques
- Produce high-quality images to avoid repeat procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists to determine if additional imaging is needed
- Maintain and monitor X-ray equipment functionality
- Report any equipment malfunctions promptly
- Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology (or related field)
- ARRT Certification required
- Active state license
- Proven experience as an X-Ray Technician preferred
- Ability to lift/move patients and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and technical skills
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
