Details Work in the Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM) On-call requirement of 21-28 days within a 6-week cycle based on departmental needs Epic EMR experience required for consideration Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, left and right heart catheterizations, and Impella insertion Experience with electrophysiology procedures such as pacemaker insertion and cardioversion Skilled in vascular closure systems, sheath removal/monitoring, and topical hemostasis techniques Competency in procedural sedation administration and monitoring Experience administering emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and IV vasopressors Skilled in 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition and dysrhythmia interpretation/management Experience with central line assistance, PICC line care, and blood product administration Knowledge of radiation and laser safety protocols Cardiac implant closure device and scrub procedure experience preferred Additional Information Provide direct patient care in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures Assist with electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker/defibrillator insertion and lead extraction Monitor patients during procedural sedation and manage hemodynamic status Perform circulate and scrub duties as needed during procedures Maintain infection prevention and isolation precaution standards Local candidates within 90 miles are eligible for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-750406.
