Shift: Night Shift | 11:00 PM 7:30 AM

Assignment Type: Per Diem

Rate: $17.76 $19.89 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary: J Edward Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technician to support our client's behavioral health team on a per diem basis. This role is well-suited for individuals passionate about mental health and committed to providing supportive, high-quality care in a therapeutic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Treatment Plans: Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and clinical staff to follow individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor Patients: Observe, document, and report behavioral changes or concerns to the care team.
• Provide Emotional Support: Help patients manage emotional and psychological challenges through supportive engagement.
• Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe, calm, and therapeutic environment; utilize de-escalation techniques when needed.
• Administrative Support: Assist with assessments, documentation, and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Certification:

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Required, or must be willing to obtain
• CPR BLS (American Heart Association) Required

Experience:

• Prior experience in behavioral health or a psychiatric care setting is strongly preferred

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and observational skills
• Proficiency in de-escalation and crisis response
• Strong commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards
