Job Overview

JNJ Apparel is looking for a highly motivated and experienced store manager. The store manager will be responsible for all daily store operations as well as creating the best-in-class customer experience that is core to the JNJ Apparel brand. JNJ’s retail store will provide gameday gear, online order pick-ups, and custom, creative merch to students, parents, and sports fans in downtown Tuscaloosa.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a welcoming, cooperative work environment including efforts of team building and motivation for staff.
• Responsible for store opening and closing.
• Schedule and lead team of part-time workers.
• Onboard and train staff on product knowledge, company policies, and customer service procedures.
• Oversee customer service requests and ensure expectations are being met in a timely manner.
• Manage bank deposits and reconcile cash register.
• Schedule and plan special promotional events.
• Maintain store presentation and merchandising displays.

 

Qualifications:

 

• 1 year minimum of retail experience required.
• 1 year minimum of Managerial experience required
• High school diploma required
• Associates degree or higher preferred
• Experience in training and managing a team
• Experience with Shopify is a plus
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skill
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule

Physical requirements:

 

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs if necessary.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

 

Availability and Schedule:

• Store hours will be: 10AM-6PM Monday-Saturday, 12pm-4pm on Sundays – Store Manager will not be required to work all store hours, but will work at least 40 hours

• Full time
• Weekends and holidays required during peak retail season.
• Must be able to work on-location in Tuscaloosa, AL.

 

Salary and Benefits Information:

• Salary: $40,000 - $45,000 per year
• Bonus Incentives: Bonus incentives are available with this position
