Head Start Operations Director

Southern Kennebec Child Development Corporation SKCDC is seeking candidates to fill the following position: Operations Director We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operations Director to join our leadership team. The Operations Director performs high‑level administrative and professional services work to support the Agency in planning, developing, overseeing, directing, and evaluating the early care and education programs, family services, health, nutrition, and supervising program management staff. Responsibilities include implementing programs, policies and systems; assessing plans, services and operations; and ensuring compliance with established performance standards and other federal, state, and agency rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and licensing requirements. This is a full‑time salaried position. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and guidance to program management staff to promote a collaborative work environment, open and shared communication, staff development, a commitment by all staff to continually improve service quality to children and families, and a dedication to meeting established program goals and objectives. Plan, organize, coordinate, oversee, and evaluate program operations and services to ensure consistent implementation of program and services. Review and analyze Agency programs, policies, and procedures and recommend changes to correct identified problem areas and continually improve effectiveness and efficiency of program operations. Delegate responsibility and authority to act to program management staff regarding decision‑making and supervision within their assigned programs. Assign, coordinate, direct, review, evaluate, and/or monitor the work of assigned program staff/partners and volunteers to ensure established program goals and objectives are attained. Oversee service delivery, partnerships with families, home visit and parent conference scheduling, family services, health and nutrition, and case management systems to ensure compliance with federal and state licensing requirements and agency procedures. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Human Resources Management, Early Childhood Education (ECE), Health or related field and a minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in education, health or human services. Equivalent Head Start management experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis in place of degree. #J-18808-Ljbffr
