About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a 13-week contract position in Bozeman, Montana. The NICU RN will assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized plans of care, monitor clinical progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe and effective neonatal care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on neonatal patient needs and clinical findings.

• Implement nursing interventions, monitor patient response, and recognize changes in condition requiring timely clinical action.

• Provide patient and family education while supporting communication, involvement, and continuity of care.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate safe, evidence-based neonatal nursing care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic while following patient-safety, professional-practice, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) License Required.

• Minimum 1 Year of NICU, Labor & Delivery, Emergency Department, or Intensive Care Nursing Experience Required.

• Current American Heart Association BLS/BCLS Certification Required.

• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider Certification Required.

• Current STABLE Certification Required; Traveler Must Reside at Least 90 Miles From the Work Location.

The NICU Registered Nurse will provide compassionate, evidence-based neonatal nursing care while supporting safe outcomes for newborns and their families.
