Strategic Planner

NTI, Inc. is a rapidly growing non‑profit 501(c)(3) corporation that hires or locates jobs for Americans who must work from home due to a wide variety of disabilities. NTI employees provide virtual call center services to corporations and the federal government from distributed remote locations using advanced Internet and telephone communications. National Telecommuting Institute specializes in placing people with disabilities into home‑based customer service jobs. Over the past five years we’ve averaged about 250 placements a year nationwide, working for government agencies or commercial companies. I am seeking a senior person to help me develop a new business approach to achieving our mission. This is a volunteer position. Existing staff do not have the bandwidth or skill set to help. While I have an outline of the new experimental model and two large call centers expressing interest in piloting it, I don’t have the right people to help work out the bugs. I need someone who likes to think strategically but is willing to test their ideas in the real world by making calls, writing informational materials, perhaps making a training video, and interviewing applicants with disabilities to learn firsthand whether the materials they help develop meet the needs of our target population.
