Heavy Equipment Field Technician / Mechanic

Job Summary Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and perform critical repairs and adjustment. Perform required DOT inspections to ensure service truck is in proper, safe working order. Develop and maintain long‑lasting working relationships with customers. This role involves hands‑on mechanical work in a shop environment. Key Responsibilities Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and perform critical repairs and adjustment Perform required DOT inspections to ensure service truck is in proper, safe working order Develop and maintain long‑lasting working relationships with customers Safely and repeatedly lift components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance Safely lift, carry, and lower components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials Climb on and off equipment and work at varying heights Stand, bend, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods Safely operate tools and equipment Qualifications Basic mechanical knowledge, including electrical and hydraulics General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, and instruments Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, and other related publications Class A CDL required or ability to obtain CDL within three months of start date Must have valid CDL license required Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry (specifically with CAT earthmoving equipment) Ability to foster positive relationships internally and externally #J-18808-Ljbffr Foley Power Solutions
