We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Hostess. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationship with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Dining Room Supervisor, the Hostess courteously and professionally serves all residents and their guests cocktails, wines, and drinks in the dining room and bar. The Hostess maintains inventory of all bar supplies, maintains a neat and orderly work area, and secures all liquor inventory and supplies. The Hostess completes order guides to ensure par levels are sufficient and submits to the Dining Room Supervisor requests for orders.

Accountabilities :

• Courteously and professionally seats all residents and their guests in the dining room.
• Is knowledgeable of menu and offerings.
• Assists servers with servicing, bussing, and cleaning tables.
• Assists with training and assures that proper services is given to residents and guests.
• Alerts Supervisor of any concerns or problems pertaining to residents and their guests.
• Cooperates and coordinates work activities with co-workers to ensure a smoothly run department.
• Follows all outlined policies and procedures for the dining services department.
• Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

1. Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.
2. High School education or GED preferred, but not required.
3. Position requires a minimum of one to three years' experience as a Host/Hostess in a restaurant.
4. Must be 19 years of age or older to serve alcohol.
