Required Skills:
Equivalent to possession of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with major course work in computer science.
10+ years’ experience in information technology.
5+ years’ experience designing complex, normalized, relational application databases using Oracle.
Proven track record of successfully developing complex, normalized, relational application databases, supporting multiple development teams simultaneously.
Experience with the principles of full life cycle systems design and development.
Thorough knowledge of relational database management systems.
Thorough knowledge of the principles and techniques of database design, modeling, development, testing, and documentation.
Thorough knowledge of the principles and techniques of systems implementation including conversion, data reconciliation, user training, and documentation.
Extensive experience developing and documenting relational database models, based on functional specifications and conceptual object models.
Extensive experience developing and documenting Oracle database schemas based on relational models.
Extensive experience developing and documenting Oracle function and procedure packages using SQL, based on functional specifications and requirements.
Extensive experience developing and documenting legacy data conversion processes.
Extensive experience with Oracle database performance monitoring and tuning tools and techniques.
Knowledge of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment and Object-Oriented design and development.
Excellent analytical capabilities and the ability to breakdown complex ideas into manageable pieces.
Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
Demonstrated experience adhering to project plans and schedules.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Oracle12c, ERwin Data Modeler, Toad, JIRA, Eclipse, Clear Quest, and Subversion.
Experience developing and documenting Oracle database schema based on relational models.
Experience developing and documenting Oracle function and procedure packages using SQL, based on functional specifications and requirements.
Experience with Oracle database performance monitoring and tuning tools and techniques.
Knowledge of other application development technologies, including Linux, Lucee, ColdFusion, JavaScript, and Crystal Reports.
Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform
Strong oral and written communication skills
