*Job Summary*

Riverview is building a skim milk powder plant in Morris, MN and is looking for a Master Electrician to serve as the hands-on electrical leader for the facility. Safety is the foundation of everything we do, and this person will set the standard for how electrical work is performed safely across the plant. Beyond safety, this person will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the plant’s electrical systems while also teaching and developing the operations team’s electrical knowledge and capability. As the licensed Master Electrician on-site, you will provide the supervisory license coverage that allows team members to perform and grow in electrical work under your direction. The right candidate is someone who gets energy from sharing what they know, takes ownership of their work, and is excited about building a team that can eventually handle the plant’s electrical needs with confidence.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Perform hands-on electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work across all plant systems, including motor controls, PLCs, power distribution, and instrumentation.
* Serve as the licensed Master Electrician on-site, ensuring all electrical work meets code requirements and safety standards.
* Provide supervisory license coverage for team members performing electrical work, in compliance with Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry requirements.
* Teach and mentor operations team members on electrical maintenance fundamentals, safe work practices, and troubleshooting skills.
* Develop practical training plans that grow the team’s ability to handle routine electrical tasks independently over time.
* Identify and resolve electrical bottlenecks that affect plant uptime, production quality, or safety.
* Support the potential development of an apprenticeship pathway to help team members pursue their own electrical licenses.
* Collaborate with plant leadership to prioritize electrical projects, manage parts inventory, and plan preventive maintenance schedules.

*Qualifications*

* Active Minnesota Master Electrician license (required).
* 8+ years of hands-on electrical experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or food processing environments.
* Working knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, power distribution, and industrial instrumentation.
* Demonstrated ability and genuine willingness to teach, mentor, and develop less experienced team members.
* Comfort working in a plant environment — this is not a desk job.
* Strong troubleshooting instincts and the ability to think through problems calmly under pressure.
* Experience in dairy processing or food-grade facilities is a plus but not required. xhmxlyz
