Position SummaryThe Finance Business Partner (FBP) serves as the lead finance partner to a designated region, market, or business unit. This role has a direct line to Finance, and a dotted line to the business, working closely with operational leadership to support financial performance, inform strategic decision-making, and enhance forward-looking planning.The FBP brings business insight together with enterprise financial priorities, helping translate operational activity into actionable financial perspectives and ensuring local execution is aligned with broader company objectives.In close coordination with the Corporate Finance organization, the FBP supports an aligned and disciplined approach to planning, forecasting, performance management, and financial decision support. This role helps connect region and business-line insights to enterprise financial processes, reinforces common financial standards and KPI definitions, and contributes to a unified financial narrative across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Partnership & Decision SupportServe as the key finance partner region/market/business line leadership.Provide forward‑looking financial insights to inform strategy and growth initiatives.Evaluate business cases, investments, pricing decisions, and new opportunities.Translate strategy into financial outcomes, scenarios, risks, and recommendations.Constructively challenge assumptions to elevate decision quality.Ensure transparency and alignment with Corporate Finance to support enterprise-wide consistency in financial guidance and standards.Planning, Budgeting & ForecastingLead the annual budgeting process and forecasting process for the assigned business area.Ensure alignment between operational plans and corporate financial targets.Build scenario models to support planning under uncertainty.Identify risks and opportunities relative to plan.Partner closely with Corporate Finance to ensure methodologies, standards, and timelines are met consistently across the organization.Performance Management & AnalysisMonitor performance vs. budget, forecast, and prior periods.Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and operational drivers.Diagnose root causes of variances and propose corrective actions.Promote accountability for financial performance across the leadership team.Collaborate with Corporate Finance to ensure accurate consolidation, interpretation, and communication of enterprise financial results.Financial Storytelling & ReportingSupport monthly and quarterly business reviews.Communicate results in clear, accessible, business‑focused language.Highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities.Support executive presentations and board materials.Enable leaders to tell a compelling financial story.Coordinate with Corporate Finance to ensure business‑unit reporting aligns with enterprise narratives and standards.Qualifications:Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldTypically 5+ years of progressive finance experience.Experience in Corporate Finance, financial planning, consulting, or operational finance.Strong track record of business partnering with senior leadership.Industry experience in Insurance Brokerage is a plus.Skills & CapabilitiesAdvanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.Ability to simplify and translate complex financial data into actionable insights.Strong communication skills with executive presence.Strategic thinker with practical, hands‑on operating style.Influencing skills and the ability to lead without authority.High business acumen and curiosity about operational drivers.Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Ability to balance the needs of the business with enterprise requirements set by Corporate Finance.Leadership & Behavioral CompetenciesOperates as a trusted advisor to business leaders.Demonstrates courage to challenge constructively and offer objective viewpoints.Collaborative, low‑ego approach that builds strong relationships.Ownership mentality with strong accountability for results.Strong judgment, integrity, and discretion.Thrives in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments.Acts as a bridge between Corporate Finance and business leadership.Success Profile: What Great Looks LikeA high‑performing FBP:Is included early in strategic conversations.Anticipates issues before they appear in financial results.Connects financial metrics to operational performance.Improves the speed and quality of decision‑making.Builds deep trust with operational and Corporate Finance partners.Drives measurable performance improvement and operational discipline.The anticipated posting timeline for this opportunity is 7/8/2026-8/8/2026.Salary Range$100,000—$150,000 USDCompensation & BenefitsBeing a part of IMA has its benefits.
