Laser Operator Night Shift

General Responsibilities

Join a dynamic team as a Skilled Mazak Laser Operator and take advantage of an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery in a fast-paced automotive environment. This role offers hands-on experience and the chance to contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes.

Primary Duties

Set stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components such as ram or power press for successive passes.

Operate various presses and machinery including power press, hydraulic press, and arbor press according to specifications.

Install, align, and secure gears, dies, and fixtures using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.

Plan operation sequences based on knowledge of metal properties.

Inspect workpieces for defects, measure dimensions and weight using micrometers, templates, and scales.

Select and position die sets into machines utilizing hoists, cranes, measuring instruments, and hand tools.

Monitor and control machine operations to ensure proper functioning.

Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance.

Troubleshoot operational issues and make adjustments as needed.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status and issues.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with an Accurpress Brake ETS 3000 Control.

Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, repairs, and maintenance.

Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs multiple times daily.

Standing for long periods, repetitive motion, and physical dexterity required.

Additional Information

Must be able to operate equipment such as presses, hoists, and measuring devices.

This on-site role requires mandatory overtime as per production demands.

Dress code includes safety work boots, safety glasses, and appropriate workwear; no casual attire allowed.

Pay: $30/hr (per diem - $140/day, 7days)
