Job Responsibilities
- Assess patients of all age groups, from children to seniors, using proven evaluation methods and keen observation.
- Create tailored treatment plans targeting specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on areas such as language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
- Collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals - physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and families - to design comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families to ensure consistent progress is made beyond therapy sessions.
- Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, promoting seamless care continuity.
- Keep accurate and timely documentation following legal and organizational protocols.
- Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of field advancements.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date.
- Expertise in evidence-based approaches effective for all demographics, with an in-depth understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills for working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Able to adjust therapeutic techniques to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation processes.
