LPN PRN for Day or Night Shift at Conway Behavioral Health Rates $27-$33hr Shift differential Conway Behavioral Health Hospital near Little Rock, Arkansas treats adults and adolescents with a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and co‑occurring addiction. Essential Functions Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice, carrying out care plan objectives and goals. Model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety. Collaborate with others to ensure that patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and, when they are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Provide basic comfort for patients, implement nursing interventions identified in the individualized plan of care. Apply appropriate interventions to progress the patient toward wellness and address maintenance of wellness. Discuss the care provided with patients and listen to their concerns; report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors. Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers and others involved in treatment in an effective manner. Provide safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies, procedures, physician orders and current practice. Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy, procedures, external governing bodies, performance improvement standards and psychiatric nursing standards. Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses and progress. Other Functions Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. Purpose Statement Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice, as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times, recognizing that patient safety is a top priority. Education/Experience/Skill Requirements Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility preferred. Licenses/Designations/Certifications Current LPN/LVN license as required by state. CPR and de‑escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). First aid may be required based on state or facility guidelines.
