RecruiterCompensation: $16.35 / hrCompensation Type: ExemptEmployment Type: RegularScheduled Weekly Hours: 40Grade:Department: AdmissionsPosition Summary: The Recruiter at Luna Community College is a dynamic and results-oriented individual responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract prospective students to the college. This position involves building relationships with high schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders, as well as representing the college at recruitment events and providing information about academic programs, financial aid, and student support services. The Recruiter plays a vital role in achieving the college's enrollment goals.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Execute and refine the strategic enrollment management plan, including targeted outreach to specific student populations.Represent Luna Community College at high school visits, college fairs, community events, and other recruitment opportunities.Build and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, teachers, community leaders, and other key influencers.Provide accurate and timely information to prospective students and their families regarding admissions requirements, academic programs, financial aid options, scholarships, and student life.Conduct presentations and workshops on college admissions and financial aid processes.Manage and track recruitment activities, including inquiries, applications, and enrollment data.Manage student communicationTrack recruitment progress.Collaborate with other college departments to ensure a smooth and efficient enrollment process for new students.Assist with the development of recruitment materials, including brochures, flyers, and website content.Participate in college-wide events and initiatives such as open houses, collaborative community events, student orientation, and other events as assigned.Stay current on trends in higher education and recruitment best practices.Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on recruitment activities and outcomes.Other Duties:Perform additional duties as assigned to support institutional goals.Education, Experience, and Licenses:Associate's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in recruitment, marketing, or a related field such as customer service.Experience in higher education recruitment or admissions preferred but not required.Understanding of college admissions processes, financial aid programs, and student support services.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.Ability to build rapport with diverse populations.Proficiency in using technology tools.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills.Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.Work Environment and Physical Factors:This position requires some evening and weekend work.Travel within the region is required.The work environment is typically an office setting, but may also include attending events in various locations.As a part of your application, upload letter of interest, current resume, and official documentation confirming education.EEO STATEMENT: LCC is an equal opportunity employer.
