Inspector Apprentice (Manheim)

Shift: Day. Compensation: Hourly base pay rate $13.70 – $20.53 per hour (may vary based on location and qualifications). Additional compensation may include commission and incentive programs. Job Responsibilities Verify vehicle information and identify damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems by inspecting all customer vehicles at receipt (interior, exterior, odometer, trunk, engine compartment, etc.). Document all findings and prepare necessary documentation. Set up the system for day‑end; perform day‑end procedures. Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Write electronic condition reports (ECR). Conduct OVE courtesy walks around inspections. Maintain knowledge of system capabilities, software packages, and web‑based applications. Stay updated on improvements and changes related to body mechanics, frame labor, inspection techniques, etc. Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures. Participate in all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Reconcile that overtime may be required based on business needs. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Usually less than 2 years of experience in a related field. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong technical understanding and good organizational skills. Ability to multitask, follow directions, and take instruction. Advanced computer skills. Physical capability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods; bend, stoop, squat or kneel; lift and hold up to 10 lbs at waist level for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs. Moderate noise level. Possible exposure to fumes and odors. Potential overtime beyond 40 hours per week as business needs dictate.
