We are a leading regional accounting and IT firm with offices in Topeka and Overland Park, Kansas. Our firm works with clients in various industries and has a rapidly growing restaurant and hospitality division serving clients nationwide. We are seeking an in-person only IT Help Desk Technician in the Topeka office . Full-time availability (40 hours per week) is required. If you are the right fit, you will have experience installing and supporting end-user computing devices, printers, scanners, faxes, modems, phones, mobile devices, and software applications. You will also monitor WAN & LAN devices, servers, phone systems, door access systems, and backup processes daily. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Become an expert in hardware and software used by employees and clients Document hardware and software details, including install instructions, license keys, vendor contacts Manage inventory of spare equipment Set up hardware and install applications for new employees, providing access to necessary resources Meet deadlines for installing new devices and software Document support incidents using ticketing systems, prioritizing based on severity Communicate effectively and professionally with employees and clients Follow up to ensure support issues are resolved satisfactorily Inform managers/shareholders of escalated situations Work independently with attention to detail, adapting to changing priorities Collaborate effectively under stress and deadlines Work hours as necessary to meet project deadlines Identify skill gaps and pursue knowledge growth Occasional same-day travel to client sites, meetings, and seminars Requirements Required qualifications: In-office work during and after training due to necessary interactions High School Diploma or equivalent Strong technical knowledge and skills Customer service aptitude Interpersonal and relationship-building skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred qualifications: Technical certifications or formal education Three or more years of experience in IT support Benefits Mize CPAs Inc. offers a competitive salary, benefits, challenging projects, and ongoing professional development.
