Details Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:30 36 hours per week with option to pick up additional PRN hours Every other weekend work requirement Floating required to similar medical surgical departments as needed, with travelers prioritized for floating Night shift patient ratios of 1:5-6, with no LPN support on nights Patient population includes pneumonia, heart failure, GI bleed, DKA, altered mental status, and sepsis diagnoses Requirements Active Michigan RN license required BLS certification required; ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years of experience required At least 1 year of Med-Surg/Tele experience required Epic charting system experience required Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Proof of flu vaccination required with submission, or vaccination exemption submitted within 48 hours of signing Supervisor-level references required Additional Information Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction First-time travelers welcome to apply Holiday RTO requests are not guaranteed; dates may be discussed with the manager for accommodation RTO limited to no more than 10 days Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year Assignment length up to 26 weeks American Traveler Job ID P-764028.
