Pediatric Medical Assistant

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMedical Assistant duties include but not limited to Administer oral and inject-able vaccines and keep records in the patient’s chart.Assist physicians and other providers with exams and proceduresCall or fax prescriptions to pharmacies when neededClean and maintain instruments and medical equipmentCollect specimens for lab testsMeasure patent vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature), height, and weightPerform in-office lab tests such as led and Hemoglobin.Perform specialized testing such as Strep A, Influenza A&B, Covid testing, vision screening, and hearing testsProvide patient education as directed by the doctor or other providersPrepare lab and radiology requisitionStock exam rooms and make sure all rooms are prepared and clean.MA records any findings into the patient charts and alerts the physician of the results.BENEFITS:We offer:6 Paid Holidays, (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence day, Labor day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)PTO: after 90 day probationary period employees are eligible for accrued PTO hours.1 sick week after 90 day probationary period401K after completion of 1000 hours of service in a 12 month period.We offer medical, vision and dental insurance after 60 day probationary period.Job QualificationsExperience: 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experiencecertification as a medical assistant (CMA).have reliable transportation.Skill· Speak to peers and supervisors with respect.· Vaccine administration· keeps calm in stressful situations.· Active listener· Social perceptiveness· Monitoring· Welcoming smiley happy person· Bilingual (Spanish)· Good answering phone skills· Multi-tasking to answer Multiple phone lines.· Good personal skill· Team player and self-started a go-getter person.· willing to learn new skills.Thank you looking forward to meet with you for an interview.\nCompany DescriptionThe office is privately owned, one location only, we have 1 Doctor's and 1 Nurse Practitioner.
