IMPORTANT NOTE: This position requires in‑person attendance at our Austin, Texas campus. Traditional education trains students on what conclusions to reach. This position focuses on teaching them how to deliver results. Alpha is constructing an unconventional high school model where students bypass lectures and rote memorization. Instead, they create, launch, articulate, and evolve. They initiate ventures, validate concepts, and cultivate practical competencies that remain foreign to most professionals. Your responsibility is ensuring they follow through—and do so with excellence. You will engage directly with high school students as they launch enterprises, manage initiatives, and build the self‑assurance, articulation, and competence necessary for post‑academic success. Theory instruction is not your mandate. Your mandate is execution coaching. You will establish rigorous expectations, maintain accountability, and challenge students to generate output that meets real‑world standards. As the program expands, your impact deepens; your sessions integrate into the school's operational structure, and the students you cultivate demonstrate what this approach achieves. What You Will Be Doing Create and facilitate applied workshops (40% of your week) covering subjects including entrepreneurship, financial literacy, personal branding, and additional practical domains; leveraging your professional background. Provide 1:1 coaching to students (60% of your week) as they navigate concrete projects across specific areas, including business ventures, marketing initiatives, and software products, employing inquiry to identify obstacles and drive quantifiable advancement. Maintain elevated standards for confidence, communication, and capability; step in when performance declines and establish explicit commitments during each session. Instruct students on leveraging AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude) for content generation, refinement, and efficiency. Provide transparent communication with students and parents regarding progress, deficiencies, and subsequent actions. What You Won’t Be Doing Conducting conventional lectures or adhering to standardized curricula. Evaluating extensive homework assignments or emphasizing theoretical concepts. Coddling disengaged students or reducing expectations to preserve comfort zones. Functioning within a sluggish, administrative school system. Associate Key Responsibilities Produce quantifiable advancement in students' confidence, communication, and practical capability by guiding them to reliably perform at elevated standards. Basic Requirements Verified record of significant personal accomplishment in at least one practical domain: launching a company, building an audience, generating revenue, producing research, competing at elite levels, or equivalent. Established capacity to guide teenagers through reluctance or evasion. 3+ years mentoring/coaching teenagers. Direct, unambiguous communication approach: confident facilitating group presentations and providing candid feedback to teenagers and parents. AI/technology proficiency (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.). Available to work on‑site in Austin, TX. Relocation support is provided. Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship. Nice‑to‑have Requirements Specialized expertise in at least one practical field (entrepreneurship, medicine, sales, technology, creative industries, finance, athletics) that you can integrate into coaching sessions and workshops with precision. Background operating within a startup or rapid‑growth environment in any capacity.
