• Skill Set: Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

• Preferred: Chemotherapy Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Hours of Operation: 8 hours daily Monday thru Friday, 12 hours daily 7 Days a Week

Description of Services: A thirty-four bed unit providing modified total patient care to general medical/surgical patients and surgical oncology, including young adult through geriatric age categories utilizing age appropriate considerations. The unit is capable of maintaining twenty-four hour cardiac telemetry monitoring.

Population(s) Served:

• Newborn 0-1 month of age
• Infant 1 month to 2 years of age
• Child 2 to 12 years of age
• Adolescent 12 to 21 years of age
• Young Adult 18 to 25 years of age
• Early Adult 25 to 40 years of age
• Middle Adult 40 to 60 years of age
• Later Adult 60 to 75 years of age
• Very Old Age 75 years of age and older

Scope of Services: Care of medical surgical and surgical oncology.

Staffing Grid: The nurse manager and director are responsible for assuring appropriate staffing, working in conjunction with the House Supervisor and Charge Nurses. In the absence of the Director, the manager, unit supervisor or CN of the unit may make decisions regarding unit staffing.
