We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. This role involves verifying and filling medication orders, monitoring patient medication therapies, providing drug information, and ensuring medication safety.

Job Summary

The Pharmacist will be responsible for the following:

• Processing, entering, verifying, and distributing medication orders in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensuring medication therapy is effective, safe, and cost-efficient, while achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Assuring medication prescriptions are appropriate regarding indication, dosage, route, frequency, and drug interactions.
• Conducting daily reports on medication utilization to identify areas needing improvement.
• Performing quality assurance procedures consistently in work areas.
• Participating in pharmacy-related tasks and programs, including clinical rounds and medication management activities.
• Expediting necessary changes to meet regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Contributing to departmental cost savings and compliance with drug formulary.
• Collaborating with leadership to procure medications and ensure safe practices.
• Assisting in process improvement initiatives for pharmacy services.
• Performing any other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

• Graduate from a recognized school of pharmacy is required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is preferred.
• One year of technical experience is preferred.
• Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice is required.
• All necessary licensures and certifications required to fulfill Pharmacist duties at the state level are required.
