Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months experience required. License: Valid nursing license must be in hand prior to the start date. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: Strong experience with intervention and performing STEMI. Comfortable using EP devices. Experience with interventional cases (not IR) and TAVR is preferred. Description: This position involves working in a Cath Lab setting with a focus on cardiovascular procedures. The nurse will be responsible for performing various interventions such as left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, and PCI. Experience with procedures such as Impella insertion, pacemaker/defibrillator device placement, stents, and thrombectomy is important. The nurse must be proficient in handling complex cases and demonstrate skill in using specialized equipment. Call rotation is required, with an expectation to work 10 shifts per month, which includes weekends. Applicants should be prepared to float to other areas as needed. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. Interdisciplinary support is available within the unit. Candidates should have experience caring for adult and geriatric patients, with a daily census of 6-10 patients in the Cath Lab. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet the needs of the unit. A background in high-acuity nursing, particularly in cardiology, will be beneficial for the applicant.
