Field Mechanic - Regional

The Field Mechanic position is responsible for vehicle/equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs of vehicles and equipment. This position requires regular travel and overnight stays for extended periods to support job sites throughout Ohio and surrounding states. Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities Conduct vehicle/equipment inspections Conduct preventative maintenance and repair on vehicle/equipment Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems Evaluate equipment failures, determine cause and complete timely and effective repairs Use equipment repair manuals and order parts for repairs Other tasks assigned as needed Skills & Requirements Possesses mechanical/electrical/hydraulic knowledge on various types of construction equipment Self-motivated, responsible, able to work in all weather conditions Excellent problem solving and diagnostic ability Strong communication skills Moderate computer skills Must have working knowledge of various equipment diagnostic software Welding skills a plus Must be able to stay out of town as required Safe clean driving record Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 5 years of hands‑on equipment repair Dealer or manufacturer training desirable Must have Class B CDL at minimum Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
