Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides critical patient care in the emergency setting, ensuring safety, accuracy, and adherence to clinical standards during night shifts. This role involves direct patient assessment, treatment, and collaboration with healthcare teams to deliver quality emergency care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly and accurately upon arrival.
• Implement appropriate nursing interventions, including titration of drips and medication administration.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac strips and vital signs to detect changes in patient status.
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient condition, diagnostic results, and treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, treatments, and health management strategies.
• Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and adhere to established standards of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current and valid state RN license.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Have a minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute or critical care settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac monitoring, titration, and emergency procedures.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification is preferred.
• COVID vaccination and boosters are preferred.
