The role  

The Product Specialist (Equities & Strategic Relationships) drives new distribution opportunities for iM Global Partner (“iMGP”) Funds and Partner equity-focused investment products.  

This role 1) represents our partners in the institutional and intermediary space by calling on home offices, analysts and consultants, and 2) supports field sales as proxy for portfolio manager to assist in prospect and client interactions while 3) serving as the primary liaison between iMGP and our Investment Managers in the equity asset class.  

Main Responsibilities  

• Drive institutional and gatekeeper relationships in the equity space, serving as the primary liaison and strategic partner between iMGP and assigned Partner firms.  
• Support field sales directors in closing opportunities, stepping in as proxy for portfolio managers as needed.  
• Secure placement of iMGP and Partner equity strategies on distribution platforms, models, and institutional research lists.  
• Cultivate and expand relationships with home office contacts, consultants, and institutional gatekeepers to grow assets under management.  
• Identify and develop new distribution for iM Global Partner's US and Offshore equity mutual funds, ETFs, UCITS, and select Partner SMAs.  
• Partner with Marketing to shape campaigns and deliverables that support equity investment strategies.  
• Spot and pursue creative opportunities to scale equity assets across iMGP and Partner product lines.  
• Deliver clear, technically sound presentations on iMGP and Partner product capabilities to sales teams, clients, and gatekeepers.  
• Manage day-to-day administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, expense reporting, and travel coordination.  

Qualifications  

Essential   

• 7-10+ years investment industry experience with at least 5+ years field sales and/or key account/sponsor experience  
• Solid investment knowledge and understanding of the US investment industry, with technical proficiency in mutual funds, separate accounts, and ETFs.  
• Distribution channel experience.  
• Fully licensed (Series 7, Series 63, or Series 6/65).  
• Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment, proactively identifying and resolving problems, and pursuing opportunities.  
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including travel logistics and reporting, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines.  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint), Salesforce or other CRMs  
• Client-centered focus, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams in a results-driven environment.  

Preferred  

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, economics, finance, sales, or marketing  
• CFA  
• Success growing products such as separate accounts, mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative products  

Location  

El Segundo, CA Headquarters or Remote (Nationwide), USA  

Salary   

Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $175,000 depending on experience.   

Salary dependent on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills and experience.
