Plumbing Estimator

A well-established and growing mechanical contractor north of Boston is seeking a Plumbing Estimator to join its team. With a strong reputation across commercial, institutional, healthcare, life science, and public-sector construction, this company offers a stable backlog of work, collaborative leadership, and long-term career growth opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plumbing estimator looking to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while playing a key role in preconstruction and business development efforts. Responsibilities Prepare accurate plumbing estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions Attend bid review meetings and collaborate with project management and operations teams Prepare detailed bid proposals and scope clarifications Maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry partners Requirements 3+ years of plumbing estimating experience Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and construction practices Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience preparing competitive bid packages and conceptual budgets Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously What's Offered Competitive base salary Performance-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive health and benefits package 401(k) with company contribution PTO and paid holidays Stable pipeline of projects and long-term career growth Collaborative and supportive company culture Opportunity to work on high-profile projects throughout Greater Boston #J-18808-Ljbffr LVI Associates
