CNC Programmer

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a collaborative engineering team supporting high-precision custom manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining accurate programs for heavy industrial cutting and fabrication equipment while providing technical support to shop floor personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Generation: Create and optimize CNC programs for industrial cutting and fabrication machinery using CAM/nesting software.
- Process Documentation: Build and maintain BOMs, routings, work instructions, and revision-controlled ISO 9001 documentation.
- Model Data Extraction: Extract dimensions and technical specs from 3D CAD models to support programming (non-design role).
- Planning & Estimating: Calculate material usage, estimate cycle times for quoting, and analyze job costing variances.
- Shop & Team Support: Assist machine operators with troubleshooting and collaborate across Engineering, Estimating, and Production.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of CNC programming in a custom manufacturing or job shop setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard CAD/CAM nesting software, 3D CAD modeling tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong background in metal fabrication, blueprint reading, GD&T, and ISO quality standards.
- Core Competencies: Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking skills and independent workflow management.
