Retail Sales Associate (PT)

JOB MISSION Retail Sale Associates ensure our retail stores operate smoothly and provide exemplary customer service. They educate customers with product knowledge, use proper selling techniques, and represent the NewBalance brand positively throughout the transaction process. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES Greet customers and make initial contact. Understand customer needs and educate them on product features and benefits. Solve any customer problems or answer questions. Transact the sale using suggestive selling, multiple selling, and effective closing. Measure and fit customers with appropriate NewBalance products. Inform customers about current promotions. Keep the floor neat, organized, and well stocked. Ensure items are labeled and price‑marked correctly. Protect products by greeting customers, attaching/detaching security tags, monitoring merchandise, and reporting shrinkage or security violations. Follow safety regulations, including proper lifting procedures and reporting accidents or near‑misses. REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS Must be 18years of age or older. People‑person with strong customer‑service and verbal communication skills. Past retail experience preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment. Familiarity with cash register functions. Ability to perform basic math quickly. Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays. Physical ability to lift 4lb. frequently; lift up to 8lb. occasionally; kneel or squat frequently; move boxes up to 50lb. (with assistance if necessary); stand for extended periods; climb ladders or stairs frequently. Location: Cypress,TX (Retail‑only). PAY RANGE Regular associate pay range: $13.40–$16.80–$20.15 per hour. Pay varies based on experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and other factors.
