Job Overview A law firm seeks a Tax Associate in Providence, RI. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in complex federal transactional tax matters, including business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations. Duties Advise clients on federal transactional tax matters. Assist with business entity formations, mergers, and acquisitions. Provide guidance on state and local tax matters, including income, franchise, sales, and use tax. Requirements Active bar license in the corresponding state or commitment to obtain one. Experience with non-profit and for-profit clients preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proactive and dynamic approach to work.
