Assembly operator

We are seeking Assemblers for a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company. Assemblers will be responsible for building and installing components for heavy-duty trucks and truck systems.

This is a union-represented position, and employees will be required to join and maintain membership in the local labor union as a condition of employment.

Pay & Shifts

• Pay: $21.64/hour
• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Overtime & Weekends: Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Assembly & Installation

• Position, bolt, screw, and fasten parts to build subassemblies, including doors, seats, and steering columns.
• Assemble and install truck systems, including frames, cabs, engines, axles, hydraulics, electrical, and air systems.

Tool & Equipment Operation

• Safely operate hand tools and power tools.
• Use overhead cranes and rigging equipment according to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.

Quality & Safety

• Inspect parts for defects and verify proper fit and installation.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Complete required production forms and documentation.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in department initiatives designed to improve production processes and efficiency.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic hand or power tool experience preferred.
• strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Must be flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Must be comfortable working in a union environment .
• Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screen .
• Hiring Process: Please allow approximately 2 weeks to complete the hiring process before starting work.
