Practice Manager New Hospital Opening

AcutePet Urgent Care is seeking a Veterinary Practice Manager to help launch and lead our new Avon, Ohio hospital opening this fall. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys building strong teams, developing hospital culture, and creating operational excellence. As Practice Manager, you'll work closely with your Managing Veterinarian to establish workflows, support employee development, and help shape the future of a brand-new hospital from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Leading daily hospital operations and supporting workflow efficiencyRecruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members Partnering with the Managing Veterinarian on hospital goals and performance Overseeing scheduling, payroll, inventory, budgeting, and reporting Monitoring key operational and financial metrics Supporting a positive client experience and addressing concerns as needed Building relationships with local veterinary practices and community partners Fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and teamwork AcutePet's urgent care model delivers emergency-level care without overnight hours, creating a more sustainable environment for veterinary professionals. Required Qualifications 3+ years of leadership experience in veterinary or healthcare management Proven success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting, payroll, and reporting Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and operational workflows Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills Ability to build strong relationships with employees, clients, and community partners Commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative workplace Availability for occasional evening or weekend support as needed Preferred Qualifications Veterinary practice management experience Experience supporting hospital growth, recruiting, and team development Familiarity with veterinary practice management software and operational reporting Key Leadership Attributes Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to balance employee engagement with operational performance Commitment to creating a positive workplace culture Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Passion for supporting veterinary professionals and delivering exceptional client service #J-18808-Ljbffr Ohioanimalwelfarefederation
