Assist. Recreation Facility Coordinator-Patterson

Job Description This position is a safety‑sensitive role. Applicants who pass the interview process will be subject to drug and alcohol testing. The purpose of this position is to assist in the management and daily operations of the recreation facility. Responsibilities Communicate with others in spoken and written English to ensure safe and efficient operations. Schedule facility use, coordinate reservations, and open and close the facilities. Monitor activities, enforce rules and regulations for safety and welfare, and respond to emergency calls. Maintain inventory, set up and take down recreational equipment, including adjustable basketball goals, volleyball nets, and AV equipment. Interact with patrons to provide a positive customer experience and deliver accurate information regarding activities and services. Coordinate staffing needs and supervise assigned staff and volunteers. Maintain records and reports, review and sign staff time sheets. Generate supply lists for areas within the facility and submit maintenance requests. Reconcile receipts, make bank deposits, and manage funds. Perform other tasks as assigned. Physical Demands Perform work that involves walking, standing, stooping, jumping, stretching, or lifting all of the time. Exert between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Minimum of one (1) year experience in facility programming, recreation management, or a closely related field. Valid driver’s license. Current CPR/AED certifications or willingness to acquire certification within six (6) months from date of hire.
