Together, we're improving health and improving lives.LabCorp is seeking a Medical Courier to join our team in El Paso, TX (79912)Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 10:00am – 7:00pm (additional hours / Rotating weekends may be requested as needed)Job Responsibilities:Load all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickupsComplete daily pick up schedule in a timely mannerWill cover locations in El Paso (Central / NE)Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shiftHandle all specimens and lab samples in safe and efficient mannerSafely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic lawsUtilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks upWork directly with dispatcher for additional pick-ups as neededEvaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as neededOccasional driving in inclement weatherMinimum Qualifications:No Experience or Education RequiredPreferred Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent1 or more years of professional courier or route?based delivery experience, ideally within a medical or laboratory company1 or more years of experience handling medical specimens or supporting hospital / laboratory operations1 or more years of experience using handheld delivery?management devices or route optimization tools, such as scanners, GPS?based routing software, or dispatch applicationsAdditional Job Standards:Be 21 years of age or olderHave a valid driver's license and clean driving recordPunctual with strong time management skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsCustomer service experienceAbility to problem solve customer issuesAble to lift up to 50 lbs.Flexibility to work overtime as neededStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to work independently and in a teamComfortable working under minimal supervisionThis role will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients.Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route.
