These positions are critical to meeting safety, production, and quality targets for J. Crew, Madewell, and Factory operations.Available RolesPlacement will be based on skills, knowledge, and experience.Maintenance Technician IIndustrial technician with intermediate troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.Key Responsibilities:Execute weekly/monthly/quarterly PMs and lubrication tasksReplace belts, chains, filters, fuses, and standard wear partsUse multimeters to check circuits (120VAC and below)Assist in mechanical alignments and basic vibration/temperature checksRead schematics and use measuring toolsEnter detailed CMMS work order completion commentsMaintenance Technician IIAdvanced technician able to independently troubleshoot and repair automation systems.Key Responsibilities:Perform advanced diagnostics on motors, drives, PLCs, and 3-phase equipmentUse IR thermography, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring toolsTroubleshoot 1000VAC and below, and 28VDC circuitsReplace control cards, gear reducers, pumps, and motorsLead and mentor junior techs; support complex equipment retrofitsCore Competencies ExpectedSafety Awareness – Follows LOTO, PPE, and facility safety procedures without exceptionTechnical Aptitude – Demonstrates strong mechanical and electrical knowledge across industrial systemsProblem Solving – Diagnoses root causes and implements reliable, timely fixesCommunication – Effectively communicates with team and documents work clearly in CMMSTeamwork – Collaborates effectively, willing to support peers and shift needsContinuous Improvement – Looks for opportunities to improve equipment reliability and personal skillsetWhat You'll DoPerform scheduled and reactive maintenance on conveyors, sorters, packaging, and facility systemsInstall and repair mechanical drives, couplings, chains, belts, and gearboxesRead/interpret electrical and mechanical schematicsUse CMMS to document activities and generate follow-up work ordersExecute fabrication, basic to advanced machine diagnostics and repair, and light construction tasksTroubleshoot and repair electrical and automated control systemsAdherent to 6S and Lean maintenance principlesWork independently or with a team in a high-volume settingRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDValid Driver's LicenseTechnical certifications or coursework in electrical or mechanical systems preferred1–3 years (Tech I) or 3+ years (Tech II) industrial maintenance experienceProven ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in all facility areasWork Schedule & BenefitsFull-time; shift availability varies by business needMonday-Friday 1:30pm-9:30pmOvertime, weekends, and holidays as requiredMedical, dental, and life insurance401(k) match, paid vacation and holidaysOne of our core focuses here at JCG is creating a community and culture that builds belonging.
