This Student Nurse Intern role offers hands-on experience in patient care, supporting individuals across various age groups and developmental stages.

Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will assist in delivering compassionate care and perform a variety of clinical tasks to support patient well-being.

Provide direct patient care tailored to individual needs, including assistance with daily hygiene such as bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, and grooming.

Offer skin care while taking precautions to prevent skin breakdown.

Support physical activities including repositioning, ambulation, range of motion exercises, and transfer techniques.

Assist with nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, monitoring intake, feeding as necessary, and ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.

Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake and output accurately.

Perform sit baths, postmortem care, and apply supportive devices like TED hose and ice packs.

Engage in performance improvement initiatives and foster teamwork.

Carry out technical nursing procedures within credentialing limits, including oxygen therapy management, catheter insertion/removal, intravenous therapy discontinuation, nasopharyngeal suctioning, dressing changes, wound care, and patient assessments.

Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, maintain NG tubes, and educate patients and families alongside primary nurses.

Maintain clear communication with supervising nurses and promptly report any changes in patient condition or concerns.

Document all care activities thoroughly and accurately in medical records.

Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education but not yet licensed.

Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
