As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and assisting visitors and employees with professionalism. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
• Control access to restricted areas by following established badge, key, and/or gate procedures, while helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; report observations and incidents according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated business areas, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
