About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Communications Officer (CCO) to join its executive leadership team. The CCO will be a trusted advisor, providing strategic counsel on all aspects of communications, public perception, organizational reputation, and crisis response. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company's mission and impact are communicated with clarity, credibility, and purpose to a wide range of stakeholders, including employees, partners, policymakers, media, and the communities it serves. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of an integrated communications and marketing strategy to strengthen the company's voice, elevate its brand, and increase understanding of its work. Key responsibilities for the CCO include shaping a clear and cohesive narrative across the organization's diverse programs, leading a multidisciplinary communications function, and overseeing the Director of Marketing, Director of Communications, and Director of Advancement & Impact. The CCO will provide strategic direction, mentorship, and leadership to ensure that these functions operate cohesively in support of the company's mission and organizational priorities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a senior communications role, with experience in leading and managing a team, and a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector. A strong background in crisis communications, media relations, and brand management is essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
