Comfort through music.The Care Team Hospice is seeking a Part-Time Music Therapist to provide comfort, connection, and emotional support to hospice patients and families through individualized music therapy services in home and facility settings. This role focuses on enhancing quality of life through therapeutic interventions that promote comfort, relaxation, and emotional expression.Schedule, Hours & TerritoryStandard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMWest Branch, MI, and surrounding areasWhat We OfferOpportunity to provide meaningful therapeutic support to hospice patients and familiesInterdisciplinary team collaborationMission-driven hospice environment focused on comfort and dignityKey ResponsibilitiesConduct music therapy assessments and develop individualized plansProvide therapeutic music interventions for patients and familiesCollaborate with interdisciplinary team membersSupport emotional expression, relaxation, and symptom reliefDocument services and patient responses accurately and timely in the EMR HCHB (Homecare Homebase)Maintains the agency's mission, philosophy, and core values.Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations/processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety, and emergency management.Always maintains patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations.Regulatory RequirementsLicensed or registered in the State of MIMust pass a criminal background check & MVR check.Completed health statements acknowledging the ability to perform the duties of the position.Valid state drivers license.Proof of current automobile insurance.Current CPR card; On-line CPR certification accepted; Hands-on CPR certification preferred.TB testing per agency policy; (1 or 2-step TB skin test within 12 months of hire & annual TB symptom screening thereafter).Industry experienceHospice and Palliative Care certified Music Therapist preferred.Education:Bachelor's Degree in Music with a concentration in Music Therapy, and must meet educational requirements to achieve certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists.
