Director of Medical Coding Operations

To enhance revenue cycle operations, the full-time Director of Medical Coding Operations will lead a remote team, directing coding strategies, ensuring compliance, and optimizing revenue while collaborating with senior leadership and various departments. Key responsibilities Direct and oversee medical coding operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue cycle outcomes and address coding-related denials Establish and maintain a structured audit program to assess coding accuracy and compliance Required qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 12 years of relevant experience or a master's degree (or equivalent) with 10 years of experience AAPC or AHIMA certification is required 12 years of experience in coding, clinical, or billing with advanced proficiency in regulatory reimbursement rules Proficiency in software applications such as EPIC and iCentra 10 years of experience in a leadership role with progressively challenging responsibilities
