Job Description
Title: Medical Assistant

Schedule: Days, 10 hours per day, 80 hours per 2-week pay period

Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED)
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a recognized organization or Graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant program with on-the-job experience and passing the RMA Certification exam
- Previous experience in a clinical setting
- Current BLS Certification

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage customer flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of customers.
- Perform clinical and clerical tasks, including standard rooming processes, administering immunizations, injections, and other medications as directed by the provider.
- Perform laboratory specimen collection as needed and assist with various support tasks such as ordering and stocking supplies.
- Facilitate communication between customers and providers and assist with prescription refills.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include telephone support and clinic laboratory tests.
