The facility typically schedules 2-4 surgeries per physician daily across all weekdays and employs 3 Physician Associates who first assist in surgery and take call coverage, along with 3 additional APRNs who manage office patient visits Monday through Thursday each week. About the Clinician's Workday The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery coverage working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with 1 week per month of Monday through Thursday weeknight call from 5 PM to 7 AM as 2nd Call/Backup. The clinician will assist with cardiothoracic surgery procedures and vascular components, with limited rounding responsibilities. The role involves collaboration with 3 Physician Associates who provide first assist services and 3 APRNs who handle office consultations Monday through Thursday. All documentation must be completed using the EPIC EMR system for patient encounters and surgical procedures. Additional Job Details Case Load/PPD: 2-4 surgeries per day.
