Physical Education Teacher

The Physical Education Teacher supports students in developing motor skills, physical abilities, teamwork, confidence, and healthy habits through engaging activities.

Duties

• Plan and lead age appropriate physical education lessons and activities for students from Toddler through 5th grade
• Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
• Support students in developing coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical skills
• Adapt activities to meet students' developmental needs and abilities
• Collaborate with teachers and staff on school projects and events
• Maintain productive communication with families when needed
• Follow school safety procedures and expectations

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Education, Education, or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience working with children in a school setting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with children
• Ability to teach and communicate effectively in English, French is a plus
