Job Description We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Custom Applications) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements engineering, custom application delivery, and SDLC practices and a proven ability to align business objectives with technology solutions that deliver measurable value. Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for custom applications. Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flows. Develop As-Is and To-Be models and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation. Ensure traceability of requirements across the SDLC. Serve as primary liaison between business users, product owners, and development teams. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to drive clarity and consensus. Communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Support design, development, testing, and deployment phases and align with SDLC governance. Partner with QA to define and validate test cases aligned with business requirements. Analyze systems and processes, identify gaps and risks, and recommend enhancements. Drive data-driven decision-making through business insights and impact assessments. Lead business analysis activities across projects or workstreams and mentor peers as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong experience in custom application environments, including web, mobile, and enterprise apps. Expertise in requirements modeling techniques such as UML, BPMN, user stories, and functional specifications. Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models. Familiarity with integration concepts, APIs, and data flows. Proficiency with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Visio, and Confluence. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to decompose complex problems into actionable requirements. Experience in process optimization and digital transformation initiatives. Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage ambiguity and drive outcomes in fast-paced environments. 5-10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT delivery environments. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. Preferred Skills: Exposure to cloud-native application ecosystems such as Azure or AWS.
