Job Title: ICU/CCU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit / Coronary Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience required License: Active IL license required to apply Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required Must-Have: First-timers accepted. Will work every other weekend. Will float as needed. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response skills. Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with multi-system organ failure. IV insulin protocols experience required. Chronic/Acute renal failure experience required. Arterial line management experience required. Experience with blood product administration. Central line care/management experience required. PICC line management experience required. Experience with starting IVs required. Experience with continuous IV paralytics and neuromuscular blockade required. Experience with continuous IV sedation required. Experience with emergency medications required. Experience with titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips required. Assist with management of BiPAP and CPAP required. Experience with chest tube insertion/removal required. Care of ventilated patients required. Experience with high flow nasal cannula required. Interpretation of arterial blood gases required. Experience with suctioning required. Infection prevention and isolation precautions experience required. Experience with surgical wounds with drains and wound vacs required. Description: The position requires serving in a critical care environment. You will manage a caseload of patients with complex health conditions. Expect a patient ratio of 1:2 for all shifts in a four-bed ICU. Candidates with a minimum of two years of ICU experience are preferred. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in managing various critical care needs. Additional responsibilities may include leading rapid response teams. Daily patient diagnoses may include COPD, CHF, acute kidney injury, and post-surgical cases. The ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage emergencies is critical. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Flexibility in scheduling is encouraged to meet unit needs. Candidates must comply with infection control and safety policies. This role necessitates the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed. Strong assessment and clinical skills are required to excel in this position.
