Title: Special Education Teacher

Employment Type: Full-time | Contract | 2026–2027 School Year

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:45 PM (onsite)

Job Description:
We are seeking two Special Education Teachers to support students in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Openings are available for a Wilson Reading position serving grades 3–8 and a Learning Support position serving Grade 2. The school provides supervision and is open to candidates who are actively pursuing certification and have a clear pathway to completion.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification preferred
• Candidates actively pursuing certification may be considered if they have a clear pathway to certification
• Experience with Wilson Reading or structured literacy preferred for the Grades 3–8 position
• Experience providing Learning Support services preferred for the Grade 2 position
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized instruction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction based on student needs
• Support students in Wilson Reading or Learning Support settings
• Develop and implement IEPs and individualized educational strategies
• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP and student support meetings
