Estimator The Lincoln Group has partnered with a local company in search of an Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost and duration of various projects, ensuring that proposals and contracts are competitive and profitable. Type of Hire: Temp to Hire Title: Estimator Location: Santa Maria, CA Work Schedule: Monday- Friday Compensation: $25-$45 Principal Duties Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Consult with clients, vendors, and internal team members to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Conduct site visits to gather essential information for project estimates. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and timelines for project completion. Evaluate and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and terms. Maintain and update a database of historical costs to improve accuracy in future estimates. Present estimates and reports to senior management and clients. Monitor and adjust project estimates based on changes in scope, materials, or labor costs. Skills and Qualifications Proven experience as an estimator. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs. Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to price and negotiate. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
