Critical Care Float RN

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in various critical care units. Candidates must possess solid ICU experience and be proficient in the management of complex patients in a fast-paced environment. This position requires flexibility to float to multiple critical care specialties, including MICU, Neuro ICU, Trauma ICU, and CVICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Perform continuous monitoring of patients, including telemetry and vital sign assessment.
• Administer medications and manage IV lines, including starting and maintaining IVs.
• Assist in the management of ventilated patients and conscious sedation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient care and progress using Epic charting.
• Participate in the education and support of patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of critical care experience, including Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• Active RN license.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS (TNCC preferred).
• Strong ICU experience required; previous charge experience is not accepted for first-timers.
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is mandatory.
